Either disband your posse before the animal is sedated or just don't form one at all. Bolt action emphasis is more toward PvP. Didn't know you could fish with varmint rifle and bow instead I would fish with using my horse lmao. So, as mentioned above, if you want an animal that your crew has just encountered, it's best to quit before it's been interacted with, to avoid blocking it for you or note the time to know when you'll next expect to see it. So I don't blame you but I would def share your findings on here, so no need to apologies at all. It is a species based cool down, so you need to also avoid the heartlands for 3 days and not do the Payta Bisom Harriet mission. Tested this alot the last few weeks. I would also add, that others have confirmed that they have found the animal in the same area after receiving this message. So I joined his session, rode to spawn and was able to see the ? But he just refused to accept the 72 hour cool down. I now only do a mission for Harriet if I have encountered the animal in Free Roam on that day, to avoid any restriction on my future hunting. So, whilst I am not sure it is worth buying the pamphlet to create this yourself for $900, as it will take a lot of samples, it still does seem worth holding some stock from Harriet to make it easier if that question mark is a little bit away from you. They just seem to randomly spawn or they don’t, as I'll discuss now... 72 Hour Cool down – A lot of people have said that there is a species based cool down. There are also reports of seeing Legendary Animals during Bounty Hunter missions, so watch that radar! Friends, Full Lobbies and Radoms – Some have also said that there is an additional 24-48 Minute same session cool down, but that this might be reset once you switch lobbies. If you are doing mainly PvE stuff, Springfield, if a good bit of PvP, bolt action. No wonder the second ram wouldn't spawn tried for 10 hours between 2 days when it was released. Staying in one area – Out of the non Harriet mission animals I have skinned so far (and now skinned them all!) Within 10-15 minutes after the 72 hour timeout, i'm finding the LA again (used all the LAs over the past few weeks as a test). This rage quit method gave me the idea to see if I could spawn a bear for a friend. My advice is to instantly knock back a Level II or III health cure if you have one, and chow down on that seasoned big game if you don’t have camp stew. I would recommend totally leaving the area by a local Fast Travel post, rather than riding away as that might spawn in random nearby events. The 72 hour cool down seems very controversial, but is backed up by many, many reports, and having got all of the animals now, I am 100% convinced. you enter the area after they already are chasing/kill/sedated it, you can change lobbies and still trigger it yourself, if your personal 72-hour limit is over. I would also recommend using something like a Repeating Shotgun or Bolt Action rifle, without the scope and High Velocity or Express ammo. In a minute or so it will wake up, and you will have plenty of time to take a photograph. Link to post. I have found many more LAs in the last few weeks completely out of their cycle. More recent and further testing to me show there is a 24 minute cool down between encounters. He kept saying no it’s 2 in game days and I even acknowledged it saying it could be POSSIBLE. I did more testing on this, and generally didn’t find another animal within one game day. Springfield or Bolt, it’s up to you. I have seen people saying it is possible but after reading that, when I sedated an animal and then killed it, I couldn't sample or skin it. Damage doesn't drop over long distances like the bolt action. (He got away though as I thought I could walk over and take his pic). I currently have a varmint rifle and a bow in addition to the starting gear, but I need something for perfect pelts from bigger game. I've finished my collection again last week (until they added the rams yesterday). They will NOT make an animal spawn. I cannot confirm if the same is true with random escort missions, but you do often see another random event spawn nearby when taking someone home. I could use a little advice on my next bit of gear, however. Springfield and Varmint is the dream team hunting combo. I have very rarely used to Blending Tonic, so from my experience, this does not overly impact on how the spawn or react to you. (Please see my recent posts for evidence from 3 weeks of hunting and cool downs). I once even got the Moon Beaver at 10pm in mist, just after rain for example, rather than early morning or evening in actual rain. I did some light swamp hunting to check it out and some stuff still sells for the same value, I’ve noticed. Any suggestions, information, or input would be very much appreciated. Bounty Hunters track down dangerous criminals, turning them in dead or alive in return for a reward. So I wouldn’t recommend going round in circles constantly to try and get it to spawn in. Springfield for hunting, bolt action for murder, No it will not, the bull elk will laugh in your face and take your moms out on a date. So if you kill, say, a Tecca alligator you will have to wait 3 days IRL to hunt it, or the Sun Alligator again. However, I found the Tatanka in the Heartlands twice during this time. This has worked both when they've escaped, I have killed them and died or even when I've skinned them and died. But my tests were always 20-30 RL minutes between LAs (of a different species of course). I have followed LAs after sampling them and they run for miles, so this is a possibility I am willing to accept, but just don’t spend too much time looking, knowing that there is a better chance of using the rage quit method or lower chance of continuing to look. I know that the game doesn't work right now and you guys can't play it. Damage doesn't drop over long distances like the bolt action. Performing certain positive actions like saving citizens under attack by criminals/animals or aiding lawmen will earn the player honor. Never knew the 72 hr cooldown was for a species. Oh nice! Edit: Alternatively, get the poison arrow pamphlet and that will bring down your large game and you can just roll Varmint/Bow and not have to worry about switching to your rifle.
